Dear Alaska Registered Republican Voter,

In order to be eligible to be seated at your 2020 district convention, you must meet the following:

Qualifications for District Convention Delegates: A Republican registered with the Alaska Division of Elections more than 90 days prior to a District Convention may serve as a delegate to his District Convention. Each District Convention delegate shall pay registration fees, sign the District Convention Registry and provide his address, email address, fax or phone numbers as available and note his volunteer interest during the Registration period. Those Delegates participating by phone shall provide their information for the Registry. 

Once you are seated as a district convention delegate, you will be eligible to be elected from your district as a state convention delegate.

We hope each district convention delegate will consider running for state delegate to the convention in Juneau, April 2 – 4.

The work of the state convention includes:

• Elect ARP officers, a National Committeeman and National Committeewoman
• Elect delegates and alternate delegates to the Republican National Convention
• Revise ARP Rules and Policies as may be required
• Review and update the ARP Mission Statement, Statement of Principles and Platform 
• Formulate ARP resolutions defining its positions on various state and national issues
• Enlist, encourage, and train candidates and campaign workers for local, state, and national office
• Formulate plans to raise the necessary funds to support Republican candidates and the ARP
• Formulate ARP political organization plan and methods to recruit Alaskans to become ARP members
• Enhance communications between elected Republican officials and all Republicans throughout Alaska.

The 2020 election cycle is important to Alaskans. We need to reelect President Donald Trump, US Senator Dan Sullivan, and US Representative Don Young, in addition to electing a Republican majority in the State House and Senate. An overarching concern for Alaskan voters is defeating any recall effort aimed at our duly elected Republican governor, should the courts allow the recall efforts to be certified. All Alaska Republicans need to be engaged as volunteers, financial donors, and voters.  Please consider attending your district convention and contributing your time and talents to electing Republicans to state and federal office, and defeating any attempt to unseat our Governor.
