Ketchikan Disaster Preparedness Training

Friends, I want to invite the community to attend a family emergency planning session sponsored by the Alaska State Defense Force this Thursday the 18th, in the Borough Whitecliff Building, in the Assembly Chambers at 5:30 pm. The free training will cover the importance of preparing a family emergency plan and there will be a demonstration on creating a bug-out or go-bag, appropriate for SE Alaska.
We are also starting a local detachment of the Alaska State Defense Force and those interested in serving are welcomed to attend and learn about how to apply. It is very rewarding and will be a group of citizens who receive training to help the community in time of need.
