Alaska GOP applauds congressional delegation for defending Alaska’s sovereignty over fish and wildlife managment

Washington, DC – Alaska’s congressional delegation has stepped up again to defend the rights of Alaskans and the state from an overreaching federal government. Thanks to their hard work, the U.S. Senate has passed H.J.R. 69, which reverses an Obama-era regulation by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service that restricted the state’s ability to manage our fish and game resources on federal refuge lands as provided by federal law — including the Alaska Statehood Act.

This resolution reverses one of the many lame-duck regulations promulgated by the Obama administration as his final term drew to a close. It now heads to the desk of President Trump for his signature.
